What Causes Skin Rashes In A Child?

My son was screaming all night and I didn t know why until I took his shirt and diaper off. He has a rash all over him that looks like a sunburn. I used some Burts Bees baby lotion on him last night that I haven t used on him in months. Could that be it? I don t usually put lotion on him.
