What Causes Skin Rash While On Pantoprazole?

I have been taking pantoprazole for one week and today I have a skin rash from head to toe. I am taking it due to an ulcer caused by taking Naproxen. I cannot get a hold of my doctor and do not want to sit in a waiting room for hours, but I am not sure how concerned I should be.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Though it's rare, Pantoprazole can cause an allergic reaction.Wait for the time being. If the issue continues, see your clinician. Rarely it causes Exfoliative dermatitis, also known as erythroderma. It is very uncommon but serious skin disorder which results in generalized eruption of the skin.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ajeet Singh,
