My husband has thick skin peeling on the bottom of both feet. It started at the heel and its about half up his foot. Its almost like he s getting a new layer of skin and shedding the old but this doesn t seem normal. He s always had calluses on his feet.

Hi,

Skin peeling on sole is a common problem and may be due to excessive perspiration. Some times no cause is found. It may be genetic skin peeling syndrome...if it is from childhood.

Treating peeling skin or skin peeling syndrome ..

...by applying skin softening (emollient) ointments, especially after a bath while the skin is moist, may offer some relief.
...Plain petroleum jelly or Vaseline is preferred.
... Vitamin A capsules may be taken for long time
... For callosity, keratolytic oint like salicylic acid 12% may be applied till the good result.

This might help you..

Thanks.
