hello all,I had used faceclin gel for my acne, for about a week it was ok and later my skin dried out completely with irritation in the area applied, and the area has now darkened a lot, the area looks 3 shades darker than the other part of my face its almost 3 months that i have discontinued the gel, but the skin is getting darker than before, i have consulted many dermotologist but the problem presists. Please do give me some advice on to reduce these black patches left by faceclin, or is this permanent ??Please suggest some remedies.
I have oily dark skin.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain Faceclin gel contains active ingredients Clindamycin that is an antibiotic and Adapelene that is a retinoid and at times retinoid can cause drying and irritation of skin and the irritation causes inflammation..
Black spots are due to Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation and it can take from weeks toonths for the spots to lighten..
You should wash your face 2 to 3 times a day with a mild facewash..
Apply Kojic Acid containing cream over your face twice a day as it is safe for long term use as well as can lighten the spots..
Apply Vitamin E oil at night..
Avoid sun exposure and of exposure is done apply a sunscreen lotion..
Avoid all kinds of chemical cosmetic and apply Aloevera gel for lubrication as it will not make skin oily too..
Exfoliate your face twice a week..

In case if you see improvement in one month continue further.
If no improvement consult a Dermatologist and at times chemical peeling and photo facial can help..

Hope this information helps..
