My son is a year & 3 mos. old. He had high grade fever ranging from 38.8 to 38.2 the last 2 days. He has colds, & swollen gums which believe may be due to teething. Anyhow I have given him paracetamol every 4 hrs. & nasal decongestant. I have also cleaned his mouth & gums with an otc xylitol & applied daktarin since he seems to be developing mouth sores. The fever has subsided & so far has not risen. But my main concern is that his skin surrounding the left eye seems to be inflammed. Do we get cellulitis in that area. And if we do, how can it be treated?!
