What Causes Skin Dryness And Irritation While Using Efficort Cream With Moisturizer?

I have been asked by my beautician to mix a small amount of Efficort cream with a moisturiser and use same for my skin. But instead of becoming softer,my skin has become rough, dry and irritating. I used it only one night an the next day I feel my skin very irritating.Please advise what i can do o sop this irritation. Thank you.

I shall make an effort to provide you with good professional recommendations specific to your questions.
Efficort Cream contains hydrocortisone, it does not make your skin softer and it is not advisable to use them for the reason that you have mentioned. your skin may be sensitive to it so you have the symptoms.

I would have suggested you not use it and wash your wash with Luke warm water and to use mild soap. You should be free of symptoms in a day or so.

For itching, i would have treated you with over the counter antihistamine cream.

In case if itching intensifies, or persists more than five days, it is better to see doctor for further help.
