What Causes Skin Discolouration And Tingling Sensation On Right Foot After Ankle Fracture?
I was seen on Thursday in the ER and they determined I had an ankle fracture on my right foot. They gave me a boot and told me to follow up in two weeks to see if got better or I needed surgery. I have been icing and elevating my foot, taking the boot off to do so. I just finished icing my foot for about 35 min. and noticed halfway up my 3 middle toes skin is turning somewhat darker as well as the outer, upper half of the foot. There appear to be two reddish dots close to the joining of toes and foot. The lower inner part of the foo by the ankle also seems bruised. Foot feels a bit tingly not numb, I can feel paper against it and light touch. My discharge paper mention if the skin starts turning gray and gets numb I should go to the ER?Is it possible my foot is tingly because it is about to go numb? And perhaps turn darker? When do I know its a real emergency? What does it mean if it does go numb and blue?
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, looking to over all history given here you need to see the orthopedic surgeon first and it may need some investigation to rule out the circulation disturbances, it need to be taken seriously, hope this information helps, take care.
