What Causes Skin Bumps On Arms/legs/neck/eyeball?

I have for several years now been getting some small skin bumps on my arms, legs, neck, and on very rare occasions on my eyeball. They start as a small hive, but just keep growing and growing. They are very painful and only prednisone makes them stop. What is this? Help!

Hello,

As per your case history you are most likely suffering from chronic urticaria. My treatment advice is:
1. As it is chronic problem we need to rule out associated conditions like thyroid dysfunction, diabetes mellitus and get serum IgE level done to know allergic tendency.
2. You need longer course of oral antihistamine medicines like Levocetrizine, Fexofenadine, and Hydroxyzine in tapering doses as per the effects.

So my advice is to get the above investigations done and then consult a dermatologist for proper treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
