What Causes Sinus Rhythm, Left Atrial Abnormality And Left Ventricular Hypertrophy?

Hello, several years ago I was diagnosed with PSVT and took medicine for a short period of time. I have had normal EKG's and Echo's since until I had an abnormal EKG this week. The technician kept telling me the waves were really big..up and down. She thought the machine might have been messed up. Finally, she was able to get a reading. It came back as sinus rhythm, left atrial abnormality, consider left ventricular hyperthrophy. Oh, I forgot to mention this Dr. did find a heart murmur also but stated that it hasn't changed since she first picked it up last year. My son has a heart valve problem that is not serious but requires a yearly checkup so we are both seeing the cardiologist next week. Any light you could offer for me, at this point? Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for writing to Health Care Magic, I am Dr Asad Riaz, I have closely read your question and I understand your concerns, I will hereby guide you regarding your health related problem.

Although actually seeing the EKG would have helped me better, but in light of a heart murmur and left atrial abnormality on EKG, you should get an echocardiography done to have your heart valves looked at.
Having had a PSVT in the past doesn't apparently seem to be related to your current problem.

I hope this answered your question, if you have more feel free to ask.

Regards.
