What Causes Sinus Infection With Severe Headaches?

Hi last August I had a sinus infection together with what felt like an explosion in my head. This happened 2 months after being put on a second blood pressure tablet and after a course of antibiotics. I had an intense pressure in my head and ears. The problem is still on going and I have had two MRI scans and been cleared through ENT, the second MRI was to look closer at the Trigeminal Nerve (am on Carbamazepine) but all seems normal. The sensations (difficult to discribe) down my right side of my head mainly seem to be coming from the temple area. The neurologist has passed me back to my doctor but said in his letter that they could refer me back to him if needed! I still have not had any real diagnosis. Can you help me please?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If you are having sneezing, nasal obstruction, rhinorrhoea then take Furamist nasal spray 2 puff twice daily x 3 week. take tablet Levocetrizine at bedtime x 3 week. But if u r having continuous headache without symptoms then it may be migraine .Take tablet Shelcal CT once daily. Also, take vitamin D capsule once a week x 2 month.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
