General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The symptoms you are narrating point towards a condition called INTERMITTENT CLAUDICATION.

Now as this symptom is new and you have associated shortness of breath this might be associated with ischemic disease/diabetes or else this shortness of breath is just because of fatigue or distress associated with it.

Please consult your general physician (GP) as soon as possible. If I were your GP, I would do the following:

1. Check your BP
2. Blood sugar tests
3. ECG
4. Serum cholestrol levels

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
