What Causes Shortness Of Breath?

Having shortness of breath. Went to doc yesterday. Normal spirometry, chest xray, ekg and blood pressure. My blood work up was done in July which was all normal so they didnt reorder it. What can it be? I used to be a smoker but havent smoked in 7 years. I am a 44 year old female 136 lbs and 5 3. I seem to get put of breath climbing even a few steps. i have noticed it off and on last few months but its been everyday now for a week. thanks, Cyndie

for shortness of breath you ve informed all test which are some cases requered but most important,is auscultation of lungfields. then lung capacity test if it indicate pulmonary obstructive diseasethen it is to be given importance. the test you have mentioned are requered and they can be repeated asper cardiologist advise . itwill be nice if every thing in your case come out normal and real problem is diagnosed. aim is corect diagnosis and management of your case. abide by doctors advise.
