What Causes Shortness Of Breath, Sweating And Pulling Sensation In The Thigh?

I have had slight shortness of breath, sweating and a pulling sensation in my thigh. It started in the back of my knee and then radiated to the front thigh. I have been under alot of stress and my GP thought it could be sciatica but I m worried it could be a blood clot.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the sciatica is not associated with shortness of breath in any manner. It is the strong suspicious of deep vein thrombosis or other circulatory disturbances which may pause such narrated symptoms described above. However, a detailed physical examination is mandatory for possible explanations of symptoms. Vital parameters of blood pressure, lab tests, X-ray chest and Doppler ultrasound of lower limbs are mandatory to proceed for the diagnostic approach of the event.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
