What Causes Shortness Of Breath And Tired Legs While On Levothyroxine?

What would cause shortness of breathe and tired feeling in legs just walking up steps? I ve had extensive heart and pulmonary tests done with normal results. Neither doctor and figure out what might be causing this. Do you have any answers? I ve even cut my Toprol medication for blood pressure in half to see if that might be the cause but that isn t making a difference. I also take levothyroxine for thyroid.

HI dear user! Welcome to HCM!

Have you done your thyroid hormones test after taking Levothyroxine? Sometimes these symptoms may be caused by an over dosage of Levothyroxine. Just do the test for T3, T4, and TSH and see your doctor who is treating you for the thyroid problem.

All the best for you!
Dr Eriol.
