What Causes Shortness Of Breath And Chest Pains While Sitting Still ?

Hi i have been having chest pains like short of breathe, and you know the feeling when you run your out of breathe and your chest hurts alot? I have that non stop my doctor said its excercised induced asthma but i get it when im sitting still? so what is it?

One would need liitle more details, first of all whats your age and what are the disease like hypertension and diabetes you have. Poeple with exercise induced asthma can have symptoms at rest But the discription of hurt is not usual in asthma
