What Causes Shivering Of Hands In Diabetics?

My husband is about 66; lean and healthy with exception of diabetes controlled with meds. His right hand has been shaking at various times, sometimes very noticeable. This seems to happen when he is very excited-happy- or when a little anxious about something. He also states his upper arm feels a little weak. He said he was wondering if he was getting a frozen shoulder again--had about 6 years ago. What do you think?

Diabetologist 's  Response
Dear sir

Shivering of hands in diabetes is most commonly due to two reasons

1. Autonomic neuropathy
2. Hypoglycemia

Check your blood sugars properly, avoid hypoglycemia and treat autonomic neuropathy.

Check for postural variation in the blood sugars.

Thanks
