What Causes Shivering In The Legs?

Hello Doctor, My mother is 61 years old. She has been taking various medication for different health problems. Recently she had some skin problem and took some dosage of medicine. Now she has her right/left leg shivering most of the time and her right leg keeps pricking very painfully. Please advise.

Dear,
considering her high age we need to consider neurological causes for her problems. Conditions like movement disorder, trauma to spine, etc appears likely.
A detailed work up regarding the progression of the problem needs to be done. One need to evaluated any physical trauma to spine due to fall or covert injury as well. Other associated condition of heart problems needs to be considered.
I suggest a consultation to local neurologist would help as it warrants a physical and neurological examination.
Thank you.
