What Causes Sharp Pricking Pain In The Chest?

Hi .. I am 56 yrs female ..I am experiencing sharp pricking pain In my left side of chest area ..like when I breathe its pricking sensation a d while I move to change my side on bed its the same .i thought about gas but its persisting since last 6 days causing discomfort .i hv taken Flexon tablet fr pain relieving .please advice if I need to see a doctor ?..

Understand your concern
Left side chest pain is serious and should be assessed medically.
Following are the causes:
Gastritis, heart problem, pulmonary problem, costocondritis.
Consult the MD physician and undergo following investigations: chest xray, ECG, CK, CK-MB, CRP, ESR, troponin to rule out the above causes.
Meanwhile take proper rest, tablet ranitidine and continue flexon tablet.
