Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
From time to time I have experienced a very sharp dagger like pain behind my left knee. This happened over a 2 or 3 month period. I haven t had the pain for the past 2 or 3 months. Then yesterday I experienced the same type pain but this time it was behind my right knee and it lasted about an hour or so and as quickly as it on it went away. However I must say this time the pain hurt so bad that I began limping around, but as I just stated it was gone before I knew it. Any ideas?
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got knee pain which is located behind your knee. It may be due to nonspecific arthritis . Second possibility can be something like bakers cyst. You have not mentioned your age so accurate assessment is not possible. For pain relief you can take analgesic such as ibuprofen. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
