What Causes Sharp Pain While Passing Stools?

I have sharp pain when going to the toilet... I have sharp pain when going to the toilet (passing stools) and blood. The stool itself isnt bloody, just when i wipe there is blood on the tissue. This has been going on about a week. I just thought I had been bitten by a bug in the wrong place as there was no blood, but the pain has got worse and now there is blood. There isnt pain any other time, just when going to the toilet.

Hello,

Possible causes are a fissure in anus or hemorrhoids or tears in the anal canal. Due to hard stools or constipation may cause years in the anal canal to lead to blood in stools. Avoid spicy food and alcohol. Avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Eat a high fiber diet and regular exercise may useful. Use syrup lactulose after dinner for five days if you are constipated. If symptoms not improved, please consult your surgeon he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
