What Causes Sharp Pain Under The Ribcage While Coughing?

Hello, I had a fever, chills, cough, body aches, sore throat, and a head ache, so I went to the Doctors at my university and they tested me for strep and flu and both came back negative. I ve been taking acetaminophen every 6 hours since, and I m experiencing a sharp pain under my right rib cage. I was about to take some more medicine, every time I cough I get this pain. It s been a week since I started taking medicine. Should I not take it anymore? I don t want to damage my liver.

I really appreciate your concern, such symptoms could be due to viral infection and let the course of infection runs, everything would be fine soon, now no need to take any medicines for this, take care for hydration, hop this information helps, take care.
