Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Sharp Pain On The Left Side Of The Stomach?
I'm having sharp pains on the left side of my stomach. I know appendix is on the right as that has already been removed. I played golf yesterday so I thought I could have strained a muscle however I didn't have the pain yesterday or this morning when I woke up. I also was consuming alcohol for a large portion of the day so I'm not sure if this could be alcohol related.
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As a physician, I would like to tell you that abdominal pain after strenuous activity like sports is very common. You should take Tab Meftal Spas two times a day for 3 to 4 days after meals. I would also suggest that, if the pain does not relieve after the treatment, you should visit your consulting physician as soon as possible.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Abhijeet
