What Causes Sharp Pain Near The Jaw And Throat?

hello, When I sit down I feel a sharp pain up near my jaw line where my throat and jaw meet. It also gives me a shooting pain in the back of my head as well as a sudden feeling of weakness all over, as well as slightly blurred vision and slight confusion. This happened twice today and it seams like possibly my pants/belt might have been too tight on my waist because when I noticed that tight feeling and loosened up my pants and belt it seamed to improve. But could this be a concern like maybe a hernia that cuts off oris strangulating or something causing my symptoms? Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Based on mentioned symptoms one diagnosis cannot be given.

But Vasculitis, transient ischemic attack etc needs to be ruled out.

So I suggest you consult nearby physician for detailed neurological evaluation, blood pressure measurement, ESR estimation and EKG for primary workup.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
