What Causes Sharp Pain In The Upper Thigh After Knee Replacement Surgery?

I had knee replacement surgery around April 1, everything healed really well, but two weeks ago, while bending over, I got a sharp pain in my upper thigh. When I put weight on that leg now, it feels as if the leg will give out, but it is not in a joint. It is in the upper side of my high. I also had a hip replacement in that leg 17 years ago. Do you have any idea if this is a strain or something more serious.

observe closely and see if the pain still persists or is reduced or if increasingly unbearable then needs review with your orthopedician

sometimes pain is not always at the site of origin of the insult pain will radiate to other parts as per nerve supply called referred pain so cannot ignore your hip joint and also As it has been 17 y/o since last surgery always good to check for wear and tear of the prosthetics.
