What Causes Sharp Pain In The Lower Abdomen And Above The Penis?

In the past three days, I have experienced sharp pains in my lower abdomen on occasion in the area right above my penis. I felt bloated but that went away. I felt pressure when urinating and the pains subside. Ive been tired but have always had insomnia problems. I have not engaged in any sexual activity outside my marriage. I am able to urinate regularly. The sharp pain woke me up last night, I went to bathroom urinated and went back to sleep.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

From your description, I am of the opinion that you might have a UTI or prostatics. Other diagnoses are less probability.

Do you have any associated fever? I would suggest you to have your urine examined for routine microscopy and culture. USG prostate and Bladder would be very useful in diagnosing the case.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
