What Causes Sharp Pain In Stomach Followed By Discharge Of Blood Clots?

Hello. I am 17 years old and 4weeks ago I had unprotected sex probably on a friday but he did not ejaculate inside me. The week after that I drank alcohol almost everyday. Finnaly Last week on tuesday I started my period but it wasnt normal. First I had sharp but bearable pain in my lower stomach. It was a little unusual because the pain was very sharp but Ignored it. Then on thursday thats when my cramping went away for about an hour and all of a sudden the sharp pain came back. It felt like some one stabbed my stomach and all of a sudden blood gushed out my vagina With a LOT of clots.. and its happend everyday since but the cramps stay all day. Could this be a miscarriage ? If so what do I need to do?

I understand your concern. As you had unprotected sex there might be a chance that you are pregnant. I am not sure as you have not mentioned about days of menses.


for confirmation go for urine pregnancy test...

if it is negative and your symptoms subsides then just keep a watch over next two three periods. If repetitive then do consult nearby Gynaecologist.

If pregnancy test is positive and apart from bleeding you don't have other symptoms then it is abortion . Just keep a watch about bleeding more than two weeks, fever, continuous stomach pain then you need to visit a doctor. Otherwise it will be solved on it's own.


Any other symptoms like persistent heavy bleeding, dizziness, blackout immediately visit nearby doctor.


If your blood group is negative and you are pregnant irrespective of your any complains visit Gynaecologist and take Injection Anti D.
