Many causes for pain in the throat are
1. Viral or bacterial pharyngitis.
2. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) with erosion.
3. Aphthous ulcers.
4. Post nasal drip granular pharyngitis
5. Tonsillitis
Until examination, it is difficult to say what it is, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
