Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Tinnitus, Vertigo And Nausea After Ear Syringing?
I have severe tinnitis, vertigo and nausea after having my ear syringed. The symptoms are worse when I am tired or stressed. I have seen a GP who said my ear drum is cloudy and has referred me for an ENT appointment. The symptoms are affecting my daily life and I would like some advise or an idea what these symptoms mean.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Possibility of tympanic membrane (ear drum) perforation or inner ear infection is more. Syrienging in ear by inexperienced doctor can cause perforation of ear drum and inner ear infection. So better to consult experienced ENT surgeon and get done clinical examination of inner ear and tympanic membrane. You may need antibiotic ear drops and other supportive drugs. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
