What Causes Severe Throat Pain And White Patches On The Tonsil?

Dr I am having tonsil problem from the childhood.Now my age is 38.Four months before I am suffering from severe pain my throat and showing white patches in right side of tonsil.For that I met some Ent doctors.Most of them writing antibiotic with painkillers like amoxyclav,azithromycin,clindamycin along with gorgle solutions. Till now there is no improvement. Often i am whooping cough with white sputum from that time.sputum is so thick.Then I gone to throat swab culture. Result showing that streptococcus pyogenes.They have mentioned 1st line antibiotic penicillin, azithromycin 2nd line antibiotic ceftrioxone. What I can do? It may cause cancer if it is not cured.please suggest

Hi thanks for posting on hcm.
from the symptoms you mentioned I suppose you might be suffering from severe recurring tonsillitis usually it should be cured with antibiotics if they doesn't help then I recommend to get a tonsillectomy done a procedure where the tonsils will be removed but before this procedure the infection should be reduced. Try discussing about this procudere with your ENT surgeon.
