What Causes Severe Rashes On The Labia Majora After Using Hair Removal Cream?
I used hair removal cream to remove my pubic hair. 3 days later I started developing rashes in the area. My husband and I have unprotected sex but I m sure he is clean. Is it possible that I have some infection because of this or could the rashes be from the hair removal cream itself. If so what is the cure for the rashes.
You might be having delayed hypersensitivity reaction from the hair removal cream you used. It typically occurs after 48 to 72 hours of exposure to the allergen. Absence of fever and other discomfort rules out infection in the area. I would advise you to use topical corticosteroid 0.1% Betamethasone Valerate (Valison Ointment) once or twice a day. You can also take Levocetrizine (Levocet) 5 mg tablet once a day for 5 days.
Stay away from this hair removal cream now onwards and if the rashes do not disappear in five days, I would advise you to visit a physician for physical examination of the rashes.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Take care.
