Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a urine sample sent off and everything came back satisfactory but the initial test the doctor did said I have a slight uti, during the day it doesn t cause any problem or pain but during the night if I wake up for the bathroom it is very painful and I m awake for hours with it, any way I can ease it?
If you have UTI, you may have painful micturition. Painful micturition is also possible if a urethral stone is impacted somewhere in the urethra.
So you will have to check with a urologist for exact reason and treatment.
You can start taking an alkalizer liquid 2 tsp in a cup of water 3-4 times a day for 3 - 5 days. It will change the pH of urine from acidic to alkaline help reduce pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
