Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Pain On The Elbow After Removing The Pin For Elbow Fracture?
My daughter dislocated her elbow and fractured her forearm about 7years ago she had surgery where they pinned her elbow. After a year ahe had the pin removed. For the past 24hrs she has been experiencing extreme pain in her elbow and it feels warm to touch
What I feel is this warm feeling is normal as body is trying to heal the area from where the pin is removed. Pain can be due to this as well. You need to undergo a post surgical physiotherapyrehabilitation for the elbow which should give you abundantly benefits to avoid pain and other symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
