Hello, I am 76 years old, and have increased amount of pain when walking . Originated in right hip, and thigh. At times it stiffens when I try to get up after sitting in fixed position. Then I can t straighten my leg and it is very painful until I can get it to straighten. When on my feet for a time both legs get ache and tired. Paul

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,Welcome to healthcare magic. After going through your query I think You are suffering from osteoarthritis of both hip joints mainly of right hip . You need further investigation by x ray of both hip joints with pelvis AP view in standing position. Analgesics (DICLOFENAC SLOW RELEASE TABLETS) whenever pain is helpful in pain relief. Diacerinre and glucosmine sulfate protect cartilage from breakdown and help in cartilage regeneration.Serum vitamin D test is advised (if it is low than vitamin D supplementation will be required). You can discuss with your treating doctor.I think your query answered.Welcome to any follow up query.
