Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Every once in awhile I have upper arm pain that gets worse and then is unbearable. No sleep. By morning it is better, then disappears. Can happen to either arm, but usually left side. I might go months without it, or it can happen twice per month. Rheumatologist had no idea; wanted an MRI, which have not yet done.

Reasons range from nerve entrapement in isolated segment of supply / shoulder girdle issues / humerus head pathology / cervical spine issues / systemic disorders as diabetes / peripheral vascular disease involving upper arms / others . @ MRI is the corner stone of the diagnostic requirements then comes the need of Electromyography or Nerve conduction velocity according to the evaluation of the consultant .
