What Causes Severe Pain In The Throat And Pressure Behind The Ears?

I m pretty sure I have LERD.My throat hurts so bad to the touch on the outside where my Adam s apple would be if I were male! Why is this, what can I do? Prilosec does nothing? Ikr drinking alkaline water, eating cucumbers, kale, spinach, carrots, chicken, doing braggs apple cider vinegar and. Along soda with 8 ounces of water once daily and I still can t breathe (chest is tight) swallow all the time and feel like I m being strangled. Cough, rhapsody voice, feel like I m choking, nobaloetite, can t sleep, pressure behind ears and constant drainage and sinus pressure. I m 5 4 and weigh 157. I have lost twenty pounds since April 10 when these symptoms began! Thought it was globus..can t afford EGD right now, working on pepsin intake

As per your query you have symptoms of severe pain in the left ear and sore throat which is due to upper respiratory tract infection and it could be strep throat infection and spreading to ears through eustachian tube.

I would suggest you to

- Gargle warm saline rinses.
- Put otogesic ear drops.
- Take steam inhalation through the nose and mouth will help including the ear discomfort.
- Take diet rich in multivitamins to boost immunity and fast healing.
- Avoid carbonated beverages. Drink plenty of water as well.

Visit ENT specialist once and get some routine blood investigation done. Go for thorough examination. An anti-allergic, mucolytic agent will help to reduce discomfort.
