What Causes Severe Pain In The Right Hip Radiating To The Groin?

I am having severe pain in my right hip. It radiates to the groin. When ambulating leg gives out and I fall a lot. I have some grinding in the hip joint and very difficult to walk. CT scan showed mod- severe arthritis. Could it be possibly be a torn labrum or time for a new hip

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The pain in right hip radiating to the groin and difficulty walking are all related to arthritis of hip you are suffering from.

You can try corticosteroid injections at the joint and also hyaluronic acid Injections.

Anti-inflammatory drugs such as Advil or Naproxen are good to be used for pain and inflammation.

The hip replacement is reserved for cases when Conservative treatment doesn't work anymore.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
