What Causes Severe Pain In The Lower Back Radiating To The Legs?

I was standing making a salad and felt lower back pain. I saw my internist. The next day . She prescribed a me drool pack and oxycodene with acetaminophen. The pain travels down both legs. I can t stand, walk or sit down. Less than a day I got a wheelchair. What is going on. I am 75 years old have late onset diabetes type 1. I have been on prlolia.for 2-3 years. I am thin and very. Active. What do you think is happen? My bone density report was favorable. YYYY@YYYY (

Hi welcome to the health care magic

Your bone density normal, so osteoporosis like cause not present

Here disc prolapse means bulging disc, Spondylosis like spinal problem has to be ruled out

Nerve compression might leads you pain in leg also

So your physical examination done a b day if needed MRI like investigation done for further work up

Consult orthopedic surgeon for examination and further work up
