What Causes Severe Pain In The Left Leg?

Im a 39 year old woman. Before I got sick I had a normal (not overly active) lifestyle. Two months ago in the middle of the night I began experiencing sever pain in my left leg. The pain is sharp and located where my leg connects to my pelvis. I was seen at the Er that night and was diagnosed with bursitis. The pain is also in my knee. Its more burning and aching in my knee. I have been completely bedridden for 2 months. I could walk with a walker until a few days ago and now my leg involuntary tenses up causih pain so sever I got stuck in my bathroom unable to move at all so now I don t get out of bed for anything including going to the bathroom. Im mostly seeking pain relief advice and a second opinion of my bursitis diagnoses.

Did they do an ultrasound of your leg? If your leg has swelling, a DVT (deep vein thrombosis) could cause the pain you are having. I would get an ultrasound done, which is a quick and non-invasive test.
