What Causes Severe Pain In The Knee Of The Child?
Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... My 12 year old daughter s knee started hurting about a week ago. she does not know how she hurt it but says it hurts to straighten it out. It does not hurt to touch and there is no swelling. We have tried ice and heat. Having a hot water bottle helps her to straighten it but in the morning it hurts again.

This might suggest a mild form of arthritis, or a ligament tear. Since it is already one week, it will be good if you can get her examined with an orthopedist. Till then, give paracetamol for pain relief.
