What Causes Severe Pain In The Chest While Suffering From Gastritis?

Since I have severe gastrics, pain is in my chest and it s very painful. Does gastrics cause chest pain? I am taking anxiety drugs as prescribed by the doctor for stress, which is fine. The pain stays for sometime and just leaves, but again might come after a few moments. Now I am taking Domperidone 10mg and Esomaprazole 40mg plus Clonazepam 0.5mg. I do not smoke, consume coffee or Alcohol. Avoided spicy and oily foods from 3 months back. Yet I still have the bad feeling of the gastrics and utmost chest pain. I am 24 years old with the BMI of 33.1. What would you recommend for my chest pain and how should I proceed. Thanking you Samih shehenaaz

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Chest pain may be associated with gastritis but I suggest you have a consultation with a psychiatrist too. Sometimes depression may appear with chest pain and gastritis not responding to medications.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
