What Causes Severe Pain In Lower Back And Groin Inspite Of Taking Tramadol And Meloxicam?

I have a central herniated disc at L3/L4, had surgery Feb, 2014 for herniated disc at L4/L5 (discectomy, foraminotomy, laminotomy) today I ve been having increasing pain in the lower right back that is radiating to the right groin and down the front, inner thigh. I have been taking meloxicam, methocarbomal, and tramadol with little change in symptoms. I have tried icing the lower back, but still have the radiation to the groin and right, inner thigh, my pain is going up to a 9/10. I just had an epidural steroid injection 11/5/15. What should I do? Should I go to urgent care?

Hi
I would suggest intravenous analgesic such as ketorolac or diclofenac as ur pain doesnt relieve with oral analgesia.
I would also suggest an xray of ur lumbar vertebrae at the level of L1 and L2.or an MRI.
I woul also suggest u to meet neurosurgeon and a physiotherapist also.
Physiotherapy is also very helpful
I find this answer helpful
