I am experiencing pain in most of my body, my joints are very achey, also lots of fatigue. I had a cough and the doctor prescribe ezythromicin about two weeks ago, I am not coughing as much but I have flu like symptoms. I also have chills then get hot flashes on and off.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe pain in joints along with fatigue and chills. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like muscle strains , tendonitis , deep vein thrombosis , arthritis , gout , nerve damage or slipped disk . Pain can also occur due to osteoporosis compressed fracture or infection . But in your case the symptoms can also be due to viral infection .I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order certain tests like blood test , CT scan , physical examination and take history . Doctor may recommend physical therapy , which will be very helpful , muscle relaxant , nerve supplement along with stretching exercises . Doctor may also refer you to general physician for viral syndrome , who may take antiviral like acyclovir . For now take hot water bath with epsom salt and take paracetamol . Massage your legs with almond oil gently daily , drink plenty of water and get proper rest.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get Well Soon.

Best Wishes,
