What Causes Severe Pain In Hip Joint And Numbness In Arm?

I have severe pain in left hip joint, numbness from shoulder to fingers to tips of toes on right side when sleeping on right side; numbness in feet when reclining. Also stay cold,...hands and feet are cold even when dressed warmly. Have knot on lower right shoulder blade which is very tender to the touch. I have had surgery in the past to repair bulging disk with fusion

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severe pain in hip joint and numbness in arm . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like , but in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to nerve injury , pinched or compressed nerve ( Sciatica ) , which may occur due to your disc bulged problem . Massage of arm gently can also help alot. I would suggest you to continue exercises , apply hot compresses on back and take proper rest . Consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order x-ray , CT scan and MRI . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant , anti inflammatory and recommend particular type of stretching exercise or physical therapy . Doctor may also recommend surgery in case of severe disc problem .
