What Causes Severe Pain In Ear With Loss Of Hearing?
Umm, hi So a couple of days ago my ear stared hurting and my sister told me to clean my ears to see if I had something inside and I did and I got out wax and dirt. It felt fine during the time but the next day it hurt ALOT. I went to school and I couldnt stand the pain! I had gotten out of class to see the school nurse and she said I have to go to a doctor that the same thing happened to her. I told my mom but she hasn t taken me anywhere! Now my ear feels as if its numb but there is a little pain and as if theres a little ringing going on inside. Nit only that but the side of my face close to my jaw hurts like an inch from my ear heading towards my nose hurts alot too! I dont know what to do! Oh! Also I can barely hear from my right ear! (Which is the ear that is containing the symptoms) please help!
Two things are possible- one is that only part of the wax came out and there is some pushed deeper now and causing problems; the second is a possible injury to the ear drum or even deeper structures. Either way, it is necessary to see a doctor, preferably an ENT.
