What Causes Severe Pain During Sex?

Hello, I have an (apparantly unknown) condition that started almost four years ago about four months after I started dating my current boyfriend. I have horrible pain during sex. I cant really describe it because I have never felt anything like it. I kinda feels like Im being hit against a bone or something deep at the end. its so painful it makes me not want to have intercourse often, which is not likely at all for me. I saw doctor a couple years ago and he couldnt explain it. He asked me questions like ," Do you think it might be in your head?" I was dumfounded. He did a Laproscopy, ( I think its called), where he stuck something in my belly botton to see inside. He found a sycst. Thats all. The pain never goes away. It was really bad right after the surgery I was getting a horrible pain whenever I had to pee. Peeing itself was superpainful, like in my bladder or something.THAT pain (which I never had before that) i still feel sometimes now, but, not as bad. Im just dealing with it. Ive always been the type of person that hates going to the doctor and Im generally pretty healthy. But im afraid this is something more. Its been so long and nothing has changed.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for using healthcaremagic.

Hi considering your history it seems that some antomical problem is there.
Possibilities are:
Some constriction in vagina.
Some stricter problem in urethra
Some problem in anal canal
Some problem in urinary bladder

In above problems there can be swelling, stricture, lump, fibrosis, congenital anomaly anything can be there.

For diagnosis ultrasound, CT scan or scopy is necessary.

Chance of urinary infection in terms of bacteriuria for which urine culture sensitivity is required.
Doctors consulted to be gynecologist, urologist and general surgeon in that order.

If all above consultations and required investigations comes to normal then and then only psychiatrist should be consulted.

Hope I have answered your query
Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki
