Hi I my menstrual cycle is between 15-18 and today suddenly when my menstrual pain started. My left side of stomach started paining and it was unbearable and dn I took meftal even then it couldnt stop. .aftr dt I went hospital dr I consulted a doc.. She prescribed me DROTIN M... Couldu please tell me y I am hvng dis pain. Nd. Should I take dis medicine

Hallow Dear,

The period of 15-18 days of menstrual cycle is a period in which the egg is released. At the time of egg release (ovulation), there is always some amount of discomfort to pain. In some women, it may be severe and associated with some amount of bleeding. It is called as Mittelschmerz. This is a normal phenomenon. If the pain is too much or unbearable, some pain killer with antispasmodic gives relief. Drotin M is this type of medicine. You may take it for symptomatic relief.
