What Causes Severe Pain At The Back Of The Head?
I have had a severe headache/back of my head just under my right ear for two weeks now after being sick with the flu. I have been treated for an ear infection/sinusitis with 10 days of antibiotics with no improvement. I am now on day 4 of prednisone taper with minimal improvement. I am otherwise a healthy 40 year old active woman but this is debilitating as any movement makes it worse. Analgesics only take the edge off. Any ideas of what could be the cause or things I should try to help it?

first of all vy u r taking prednisone. any indication? if u had earlier infection few days back and still paining in same area first rule out migration of infection. so get one ct scan of area .also stop prednisone if no definit indication. also this cud be muscular or cervical spondylitis. also check blood pressure.
