What Causes Severe Pain And Swelling In The Testicles?

for the last 3 years iv been getting severe pain caused by my testicles swelling and scrotum tightening to the point that my testicles pull into my body. when this happens i also get a pain in my right side just under my bottom rib. iv had a hernia for about 4 years and dont know if this has anything to do with the pain or not.

It could be an impending hernia. Better to do a scrotal ultrasound to rule out conditions like epididymitis and orchitis. Consult a general surgeon in case of persistent pain.
