What Causes Severe Pain And Pressure In The Ears Along With Dizziness?

Iv had reoccurring ear problems for years . Iv had both of my eardrums rebuilt and tubes several times as a child . I have been having severe pain and discomfort in front of my left ear . I saw my ent last week he says there is no infection and no fluid in the ears. There is such pressure on the ear it feels like it is going to explode . It often shifts to the other ear . I am also experiencing dizzy spells and my ears are burning . Just so much pressure . I am taking a decongestant and have been trying to clear my ears but nothing. At times I feel like there is a basketball sitting in the back of my head making it heavy.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You may be suffering from bilateral Eustachian tube block may be due to allergy or Infection or dysfunction etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Avoid cool drinks and freeze water . use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Use antibiotics like Amoxiclav twice a day for five days. Use decongestant medication.
If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
