What Causes Severe Pain And Burning Sensation In Mouth Post A Plastic Surgery?

I suffer from anxiety...this came after the loss of many people and getting Colitis twice. I recently had some events that effected my bowels. I had some plastic surgery and I got very sick from this. Then I got the stomach flu...since this time my mouth burn terribly. I have been to doctors who tell me there are no sores in my mouth but the pain is just terrible and gets worse as the day goes on. I own a company and have much stress which I can certainly handle..but this is such a nuisance and I really am beside myself in terms of what to do...can you suggest anything?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from a condition known as Burning Mouth Syndrome and it can be caused due to a number of causes and stress is one of the most common cause..
Other causes can be dry mouth, oral infections like Thrush, nutritional deficiency, acid reflux, hormonal imbalances and side effects of medicines etc..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations as per suspected cause can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised to gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
You should take multivitamin supplements daily..
You should suck ice and gargle with cold water..
Avoid intake of hot and spicy food..
Maintain a good oral hygiene and take sufficient rest..
Limit stress by doing meditation and breathing exercises..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
